Welders, Welder Fitters and Shop Help

Our Welders and Fitters are key positions in our fabrication shop and are integral to the process of manufacturing our expansion joints. Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, and a good safety record to be considered. Entry level positions available for those that have raduated from a technical welding training school.

Qualifications: Formula for Success

  • Must possess ability to read and interpret shop drawings
  • Must be able to pass GMAW weld tests

Principal Responsibilities

  • Tack and weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum in accordance with welding codes and specifications
  • Lay out, fit, tack and weld component members for system assemblies
  • Lay out stud and hole locations
  • Fit, tack and weld sub-assemblies, such as splices, stainless steel sheet, plates, bars, rings and shipping devices
  • Continuous welding of lengths using semi-automatic high deposition welding process
